our community: the POWER of many voices

For the past 10 years, the Philadelphia Family Pride Family Matters Conference has been a valued tradition for LGBTQ+ led families throughout the Philadelphia region. This year, our 11th Annual PFP Family Matters Conference took place virtually on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Videos of the sessions that were recorded can be found here.
This is our biggest educational event of the year. Although we weren't able to get together in person, we did work to build the same sense of community through online sessions with various levels of interactivity. Read more about the workshop details and about the speakers who led these sessions.
The theme of this year's event was "Our Community: The Power of Many Voices." We provided excellent, interactive programming for LGBTQ+ parents, prospective parents and grandparents. Programming for our big kids and youth ages 8-14+ was presented by COLAGE again this year. All programming worked to address the moment we are living in. Although child care was not possible this year with a virtual event, we did put together some fun off-line activities and a live Drag Queen Story Time for kids 7 and under.
